Third Party Affiliate Scripts:
Fusion Quest - Uses your own domain,
which they say is a bonus. It can be used with your merchant account,
PayPal and others. You can make it multi-tier program or pay-per-click.
There’s a hefty one-time
start-up fee or you can choose a monthly payment plan. There are no
percentage or transaction fees.
QuickPayPro - $45 per month gives you
more than just an affiliate program. It also includes ad trackers,
sales calculators, digital product delivery, follow-up autoresponders
and email. This is the program we use for the Truth about Traffic
Affiliate Program.
ClickBank
- This is a pretty
affordable solution with limitations. Unfortunately, you don’t know who
is selling your product on their website as people can make their links
without signing up with you. To partially overcome this, you can ask
people to complete a form to sign up for your affiliate program from
your website.
ClickBank is limited to
electronic/information products and it doesn’t have a 2-tier option.
Payloadz - Payloadz is for
electronic products and PayPal payments only. However, this
program allows buyers to automatically
download your product and has a built-in affiliate program for $15 per
month. There’s no set up fee or per transaction fee. The drawbacks are
that you don’t necessarily know who is selling your product and
affiliates have to make their own sales page. (They aren’t sent to
your sales page, but to your PayPal order page).
Commission Junction
-
This is a top notch program, but I put it last because it has a hefty
start up and maintenance fee that is often beyond the reach of a small
home-based business.
Scripts
Installed on Your Server:
iDevAffiliate -
Allows you
to have different payout levels, pay per sale, recurring
payouts on recurring sales and pay per click. Works with
PayPal, Authorize.net,
Paysystems and
even
Yahoo stores. Lifetime upgrades.
Post
Affiliate Free - There
is a
free version that allows you to test its features. You can also do
recurring payments and it has other good features.
